Aiden Monistere-Gatorade POY Community Grant

Baton Rouge native and Gatorade Louisiana Track & Field Player of the Year, Aiden Monistere from Parkview Baptist, awarded the Ace of Hearts Foundation with a $1,000 Grant to help accomplish the mission of fostering community acceptance while providing support and encouragement to children with special needs, as well as their families.

Meet Brantley! The Ace of Hearts Foundation got him an adaptive bike a few years ago and was able to check in with the Leger family to see how it is going.

“Almost two years ago when Brantley was gifted this bike, he could barely ride it alone. After time spent outside on it, this bike has given Brantley the strength to pedal alone. He loves being able to go ride with his cousins and feels like a part of the group. It’s given him Independence as well as helping him improve his strength. Within this past week, Brantley was able to take four steps in his arm crutches without any assistance and also stand up alone. I do believe because of him being able to ride his bike is what is helping. We are very thankful for the Ace of Hearts Foundation and what they have done for him!’

“It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a child with special needs to raise the consciousness of the village.”
